HIBECK MICHELLE PFEIFFER AT RIVENHOUND

aka YVETTE

6  JULY  2002  -  30 MAY 2014

YVETTE WAS AN EASY DOG TO LIVE WITH, SHE HATED SHOWING, SO WE GAVE UP AFTER THE FIRST YEAR. SHE DID HAVE ONE LITTER OF PUPS WHEN WE MATED HER TO ALF, PROVIDING US WITH MERLOT AND WHAT A SWEET BOY HE IS. YVETTE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CUSHINGS AT AGE 10, WITH MEDICATION SHE LIVED A NORMAL HAPPY LIFE UNTIL A COUPLE OF WEEKS BEFORE SHE LEFT US.

SLEEP TIGHT LITTLE GIRL

ALWAYS ALERT - ALWAYS KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON, KEEN SENSE OF SMELL AND LOVED TO HUNT IN THE LONG GRASS

FLASH

D.O.B. UNKNOWN  -  14.12.07

(AGED APPROX. 12 YEARS)

FLASH WAS AGED ABOUT 18 MONTHS WHEN WE PICKED HER UP FROM THE RESCUE CENTRE WHERE SHE SUFFERED A SEVERE BOUT OF KENNEL COUGH WHICH DAMAGED HER THROAT FOR LIFE.

SHE PLAYED MUM TO ALL THE PUPS THAT CAME TO LIVE WITH US, ALWAYS KEEPING THEM IN CHECK, LETTING THEM ALL KNOW SHE WAS THE BOSS.

FLASH PICKED UP KENNEL COUGH AND WE TRIED EVERYTHING TO SAVE HER, ANTIBIOTICS, STEROIDS, BLOOD TESTS.  ALL HER VITAL SIGNS SEEMED GOOD BUT SHE FINALLY GAVE UP HER FIGHT FOR LIFE WHEN PNEUMONIA SET IN.

BEN

D.O.B. UNKNOWN  -  21.1.97

(AGED APPROX. 13.5 YEARS)

BEN WAS MY ORIGINAL SOUL MATE, I BOUGHT HIM AT THE LOCAL RESCUE CENTRE AGED 4.5 MONTHS.  HIS OWNERS HADN'T WANTED HIM ANY LONGER BECAUSE HE CHEWED!!!  WHEN I GOT HIM I HAD RECENTLY LOST MY FIRST HUSBAND TO CANCER AND BEN BECAME MY NUMBER ONE COMPANION.   HE SAT IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR WITH HIS SEAT BELT ON, HE SLEPT ON THE BED EVERY NIGHT AND HE SHARED THE SOFA.

MY ONLY REGRET FOR BEN WAS THAT HE HAD BEEN THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOUSE.   IT WAS ONLY LATER WHEN WE HAD MORE DOGS THAT I REALISED HE HAD PROBABLY BEEN LONELY.
